Apple iPhone Hub
Apple sells one of the most consistent lineups to chart, and one of the most unusual to buy accessories for, because it publishes fast-charge claims rather than a wired wattage. This page lays out what Apple lists for each iPhone we cover, using the figures on our phone pages, so you can see the port, wireless speed and launch price side by side.
Which iPhones does our library cover?
Our library covers 17 iPhones: 16 that have been released, from the iPhone 13 (September 24, 2021) to the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max (September 18, 2026), plus the iPhone Duo, which Apple lists for pre-order on October 16, 2026 and availability on October 23, 2026. Apple’s newsroom says the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max arrived at Apple Store locations on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Wireless labels are the ones on each phone page. The MagSafe peak column comes from Apple’s MagSafe Charger support page, except the iPhone Duo, whose figure is from Apple’s own specification page as recorded on our phone page. Prices are launch prices, not current prices.
Apple’s compare page also lists older iPhones back to the iPhone 7. Our library does not cover them, and we add a phone only once Apple has released it.
Which iPhones use USB-C, and which use Lightning?
Fifteen of the 17 iPhones in our library use USB-C; the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 use Lightning. Both Lightning phones come with a USB-C to Lightning cable according to Apple’s specifications. Our Lightning guide and USB-C guide explain the connectors, and USB-C vs Lightning compares them.
Not every USB-C iPhone has the same data speed. Eight list USB 3 at up to 10Gb/s: the iPhone 15 Pro Max, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and the iPhone Duo. Seven list USB 2 at up to 480Mb/s: the iPhone 15, 16, 16 Plus, 16e, 17, 17e and iPhone Air. The plug looks identical, so a cable rated for faster speeds will not speed up a USB 2 iPhone. Our USB 2.0 vs USB 3.x guide covers the tiers.
How fast do iPhones charge, and what adapter does Apple assume?
Apple publishes no maximum wired wattage for any iPhone in our library; it publishes fast-charge claims that name a minimum adapter instead, so our wired wattage field is empty for all 17. The claims below are Apple’s, recorded on each phone page, and the adapters are sold separately.
| iPhones | Apple’s wired claim | Apple’s MagSafe claim |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 13, 14, 15, 15 Pro Max, 16e, 17e | Up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a 20W adapter or higher | Not stated |
| iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max, iPhone Air | Up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a 20W adapter or higher and a USB-C cable | Up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a 30W adapter or higher |
| iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max | Up to 50% in 20 minutes with a 40W adapter or higher and a USB-C cable | Up to 50% in 30 minutes with a 30W adapter or higher |
| iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max | Up to 50% in about 15 minutes with a 60W-capable adapter or higher with Adjustable Voltage Supply | Up to 50% in 30 minutes with a 35W adapter or higher |
| iPhone Duo | Up to 50% in about 20 minutes with a 60W-capable adapter | Up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a 35W adapter or higher |
These are marketing-style “up to” claims, so your result will vary. For the standards behind the adapters, read USB Power Delivery and the wattage guide.
How fast is MagSafe on each iPhone?
Apple’s MagSafe page says 25W is available on the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, 17, 16 Plus and 16 Pro Max, and that 25W needs a 30W or greater power adapter rated 15V/2.0A or higher. It lists 22.5W peak for the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro, 20W peak for the iPhone Air, and up to 15W for the iPhone 17e and iPhone 15 and earlier, which needs a 20W or greater adapter.
Apple says to place the MagSafe Charger face up on a flat surface clear of metal objects, then set the iPhone on it. Sixteen of our 17 iPhones list MagSafe; the exception is the iPhone 16e, which our page records as Qi only. Fifteen list Qi2. See MagSafe, Qi2 and Qi for how they relate.
Do iPhones come with a charger?
No. None of the 17 iPhone pages records a power adapter in the box; the pages that list the contents name a charge cable and documentation. Plan to buy or reuse an adapter that meets the claim for your model.
Apple also says you might not be able to charge an iOS device using USB-C power adapters that are not made by Apple, and it takes no responsibility for the selection, performance or use of third-party products. Before buying, read which charger is safe for my phone.
How much did iPhones cost at launch?
Launch prices in our library run from $599 for the iPhone 16e and iPhone 17e to $1,999 for the iPhone Duo. The iPhone 18 Pro launched at $1,199 and the iPhone 18 Pro Max at $1,299, and the standard iPhone 17 launched at $799. These are launch prices only; Apple’s own pages show what it charges today.
How can I repair an iPhone?
Apple offers service through its stores and providers, and its Self Service Repair page says it provides genuine Apple parts, tools and repair manuals for a variety of out-of-warranty repairs for iPhone and Mac, such as display replacements. Our repair basics and battery replacement guide explain the options, and each phone page links to iFixit guides where they exist.
