The Razr (2026) is the lowest-priced model in Motorola’s 2026 flip family, below the Razr+ (2026) and the Razr Ultra (2026). This page gathers the facts Motorola publishes on its US product page, explains what they mean for the cable and charger you buy, and points to repair resources. Every figure is traced to a source listed at the bottom of the page. Where Motorola’s page says nothing, we say so instead of filling the gap.

Where does the Razr (2026) fit?

Motorola’s US lineup page lists the Razr (2026) with the Razr Ultra (2026), the Razr+ (2026) and the Razr Fold. The product page opens with “Small flip. Big possibilities.” and offers four Pantone colors: Hematite, Sporting Green, Violet Ice and Bright White. We could not load Motorola’s launch announcement directly, and a search excerpt suggests the phone went on sale in May 2026, so we show the month only and treat it as unconfirmed (see our review notes). Motorola’s US product page lists a price of $799.99.

Motorola’s phones do not appear in the sales rankings we cite, so the Razr (2026) ranks thirty-third in our library as part of Motorola’s current lineup, which Motorola lists on its US smartphones page. See the Motorola hub for the family. For another flip phone from a different maker, see the Galaxy Z Flip8.

What cable does the Razr (2026) use?

The phone has a USB Type-C port, and Motorola’s specification row reads “USB Type-C (USB 2.0)”. USB 2.0 is the slowest of the USB generations, so the port is fine for charging and for moving a few files, but it will not match a USB 3 port; see the USB speed guide. The USB-IF says USB products run at the lowest common speed, so a faster cable will not speed up a USB 2.0 port. Motorola’s components list names a USB Type-C cable. For a spare, read cable buying safety and our USB-C explainer.

What charger does the Razr (2026) need?

Wired. Motorola lists 30W charging and says 30W TurboPower charging gives power for the day in just 15 minutes. That is a marketing claim with footnoted conditions, so treat it as a best case. The components list names no power adapter, so you must supply one. Motorola does not say on this page which USB charging standards its TurboPower adapters follow, so read the charger’s own specification, and see USB Power Delivery, PPS and the wattage guide for the background.

Wireless. Motorola’s page says you can enjoy the freedom of wireless charging. Its charging row reads “30W | 15W” without labeling the second figure, so we do not give a wireless wattage, and we do not say the phone is Qi or Qi2. The Wireless Power Consortium explains the Qi family in its guide, and our Qi2 explainer and wireless charger guide help you compare. For a checklist, read which charger is safe for my phone.

The screens, explained

A flip phone has two displays.

  • Main display: 6.9 inches, LTPO Extreme AMOLED, 1080 x 2640, 120Hz, a peak brightness of 3,000 nits (500 default), 10-bit color, Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
  • Cover display: 3.6 inches, LTPS Extreme AMOLED, 1056 x 1066, 90Hz, a peak brightness of 1,700 nits (500 default).

The page text says the main display has a wide DCI-P3 color range and is Pantone Validated. AMOLED is a kind of OLED panel, and the “LTPO” label for the main display means a panel whose refresh rate can vary; see the LTPO guide. The cover display is smaller than the 4.0-inch cover displays on the Razr+ and Ultra. For what 120Hz means in use, see the refresh rate guide.

Size, weight and build

Motorola lists the closed phone at 88.08 x 73.99 x 15.85 mm and the open phone at 171.30 x 73.99 x 7.25 mm, with a weight of 188g. The page describes a titanium-reinforced hinge, IP48 protection that helps guard against dust and splashes, and a design with minimal gaps and integrated brush filters. Motorola also lists a MIL-STD 810H certification; each rating has a footnote on the page, so read it before you take the phone near water.

Performance, cameras and battery

The Razr (2026) uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7450X, an octa-core CPU that Motorola says reaches up to 2.6GHz on a 4nm process. It lists 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM with RAM Boost, 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and Android 16. Battery size is 4,800mAh, a lithium polymer cell with a silicon-carbon anode, and Motorola says it lasts over 36 hours on a single charge.

Motorola lists a 50MP wide camera (f/1.7, 81.5-degree field of view, 1/1.95-inch sensor, optical image stabilization), a 50MP ultrawide that bins to 12.5MP (f/2.0, 122 degrees) and a 32MP front camera (f/2.4). Video recording goes up to 4K at 30 frames per second. The page highlights Flex View, which lets you prop the phone and use the main camera as a selfie camera.

Software and connectivity

Motorola lists Android 16, a side fingerprint sensor and face unlock, NFC, dual SIM with one nano SIM and an eSIM, Wi-Fi 6E (backward compatible down to Wi-Fi 5), and 5G sub-6 band support for the US. It lists voice control through Google Gemini. We did not find a software update policy on the page, so we do not state one.

Motorola’s page also lists US carrier compatibility. It marks T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T and many prepaid brands as compatible, and it marks Xfinity Wireless, Ting and Republic Wireless as not compatible. Carrier lists change, so check with your carrier before you buy.

How it compares with the Razr+ and Ultra

Motorola’s pages show the Razr+ (2026) as the step up: a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip against the Dimensity 7450X, a 4.0-inch cover display at 165Hz against 3.6 inches at 90Hz, a main display at 165Hz against 120Hz, 45W charging against 30W and 12GB of RAM against 8GB, at $1,099.99 against $799.99. The Razr Ultra (2026) goes further, at $1,499.99. The Razr has the larger battery of the two lower models, 4,800mAh against 4,500mAh.

What is in the box

Motorola’s components list names a USB Type-C cable, guides and a SIM tool. No power adapter is listed, so a TurboPower or other USB charger is a separate purchase.
