The Moto G Stylus (2026) is the stylus model in Motorola’s Moto G family, listed on Motorola’s US lineup next to the Moto G Power (2026). This page gathers the facts Motorola publishes on its US product page and in its press release, explains what they mean for the cable and charger you buy, and points to repair resources. Every figure is traced to a source listed at the bottom of the page. Where Motorola’s page says nothing, we say so instead of filling the gap.

Where does the Moto G Stylus (2026) fit?
Motorola’s press release, “Motorola unveils the moto g stylus - 2026 and moto pad - 2026”, says the phone would be available unlocked from BestBuy.com, Amazon.com and Motorola.com in the United States on April 16, with a starting MSRP of $499.99. It adds availability at Google Fi Wireless on April 16 and later at Spectrum Mobile, Cricket Wireless, AT&T, Xfinity Mobile and Optimum Mobile. Motorola’s page lists two Pantone colors, Coal Smoke and Lavender Mist.
Motorola’s phones do not appear in the sales rankings we cite, so the Moto G Stylus (2026) ranks thirty-fifth in our library as part of Motorola’s current lineup, which Motorola lists on its US smartphones page. See the Motorola hub for the family, including the Moto G Power (2026) and the Edge (2026).
What cable does the Moto G Stylus (2026) use?
The phone has a Type-C port, and Motorola’s specification row reads “Type-C port (USB 2.0)”. USB 2.0 is the slowest of the USB generations, so the port is fine for charging and for moving a few files, but it will not match a USB 3 port; see the USB speed guide. The USB-IF says USB products run at the lowest common speed, so a faster cable will not speed up a USB 2.0 port. Motorola’s components list names a cable without giving its ends or its speed. For a spare, read cable buying safety and our USB-C explainer.
What charger does the Moto G Stylus (2026) need?
Wired. Motorola lists 68W TurboPower charging for the phone. That is a maximum rating, and real charging times depend on the charger, the cable and the battery level. The components list names no power adapter, so you must supply one. Motorola does not say on this page which USB charging standards its TurboPower adapters follow, so read the charger’s own specification, and see USB Power Delivery, PPS and the wattage guide.
Wireless. Motorola lists 15W wireless charging. It does not name the wireless standard on the page, so we do not say the phone is Qi or Qi2. The Wireless Power Consortium explains the Qi family in its guide, and our Qi2 explainer and wireless charger guide help you compare. For a checklist, read which charger is safe for my phone.
The built-in stylus
Motorola lists a moto stylus of 105.30 x 5.80 x 4.50 mm that weighs 4.7g. It has a 4mAh battery that charges when you insert it into the phone, and Motorola rates it for up to 100 hours in sleep and up to 3.8 hours of writing. The stylus has IP68/IP69 underwater protection like the phone. The phone’s weight, 192.3g, is listed with the stylus inside.
The screen, explained
Motorola lists a 6.7-inch Extreme AMOLED display at 1.5K Super HD (2712 x 1220, 446ppi) with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a refresh rate up to 120Hz. It lists a 100% DCI-P3 color space, 10-bit color, a touch sampling rate of up to 300Hz, Display Color Boost, Water Touch and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The front glass is Corning Gorilla Glass 3, an older generation than the Gorilla Glass 7i on the Edge and Moto G Power.
AMOLED is a kind of OLED panel, so we list the type as OLED. For what 120Hz means in use, see the refresh rate guide.
Size, weight and build
Motorola lists the phone at 162.15 x 74.78 x 8.29 mm. The rear is vegan leather (leather-inspired) and the frame is plastic. It lists IP68/IP69 underwater protection and a MIL-STD-810H rating, each with a footnote on its page, so read them before you take the phone near water.
Performance, cameras and battery
The Moto G Stylus (2026) uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (4nm) with a 2.4GHz octa-core Kryo CPU and an Adreno GPU. It lists 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, which RAM Boost can expand to 24GB in total, 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage (or 256GB on the motorola.com exclusive version) and microSD expansion up to 1TB, and Android 16. The battery is 5,200mAh, and Motorola says the phone lasts up to 44 hours.
Motorola lists a 50MP main camera with a Sony LYTIA 700C sensor (f/1.8, optical image stabilization), a 13MP ultrawide with Macro Vision (f/2.2, 120-degree field of view) and a 32MP front camera (f/2.2). Rear video goes up to 4K at 30 frames per second, with Full HD at 60 or 30 and slow motion at Full HD 120 and HD 240.
Software and connectivity
Motorola lists Android 16, an optical on-screen fingerprint reader, face unlock, ThinkShield for mobile and Moto Secure, NFC, dual SIM with one nano SIM and an eSIM, Wi-Fi 6E, Google Gemini voice control, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio and a headphone jack. We did not find a software update policy on the page, so we do not state one.
Motorola’s page also lists US carrier compatibility. It marks T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T and Google Fi as compatible, and it marks Xfinity Wireless, Ting and Republic Wireless as not compatible. Carrier lists change, so check with your carrier before you buy.

Rear video features include stabilization, Timelapse with Hyperlapse, slow motion, Dual Capture, Live Video Filters at Full HD 30 only and high-resolution digital zoom up to 6x. Band support decides which carriers give the best coverage, so compare this list with your carrier’s before you buy. Positioning uses GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS.
What is in the box
Motorola’s components list names a cable, guides and a SIM tool. No power adapter is listed, so a TurboPower or other USB charger is a separate purchase.
